Volunteering

Are you interested in helping us care for and love these babies? You can be a part of the miracle that takes place at My House everyday.

We have opportunities for volunteers to:

  • Work with the babies
  • Help take care of the facilities (indoors and out)
  • Do administrative work
  • Participate in fund raising efforts
  • Help with our technical and computer needs

Volunteers are the heart and the soul of My House. We rely on your time to help us provide the loving, nurturing environment our babies need by working “hands-on” with our infants.

And we would be lost without the people who help us clean, raise money, do administrative and office support and grounds upkeep.

How do I Volunteer?
Please complete the Volunteer Application first. This application includes two background check forms that must be notarized prior to being returned to us. The checklist on the application itemizes the other information that is required. Click here to download the Application Packet.

Your application and background checks will be processed before we contact you for an interview.

The final step in becoming a volunteer is a 1.5- hour training session that will familiarize you with the policies and procedures of My House. You will also learn more about the program and our children.

What Kind of Time Commitment Do I Need to Make?
We ask our volunteers that will be working with our babies to commit to a 2-4 hour shift on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. This allows for continuity in our schedule as well as in our babies’ lives.

For those interested in volunteering in other capacities we ask that you commit to a monthly 1-4 hour shift.
